Field Trips
One of our favorite activities is rock hounding field trips. From the U.P. to AZ to Ontario. We will go anywhere to dig in Mother Earth. And hopefully find a nearby brewpub. (Send us suggestions for both field trips and brewpubs) I love to make spheres from minerals found on these trips. And some jewelry!
Meeting New Friends
One of the greatest joys I never new would be a part of rockhounding, meeting wonderful people from all over the world. If you are in the hobby you probably have read some of Bob Jones work. He is a major contributor to Rock & Gem magazine and has authored books. Including the one pictured which he autographed for me.
